A postcard is a sheet of board, 300–350 g/m², printed both sides head to head so the back reads upright when you flip it over the short edge. The mockup builds that board at your size, with square or rounded corners and a finish from uncoated to gloss that sets how the board and the print catch the light.
Seven presets cover A6, the US 4 × 6, the A2 and 5 × 7 note cards, A5, DL and square; the sliders run 100–230 by 90–165 mm.
The motion picks the card up, turns it over in the hand and sets it down back up, so the back is shown the way a reader sees it.
The back is oriented so that flipping the card over its short edge shows it upright; the mockup prints and turns it that way.
Yes. Each product has sliders for its main dimensions and presets for the common sizes; everything else, such as wall thickness or spine width, follows from them.
The Artwork panel shows each area's print size in millimetres for the current settings; prepare the file at that size, at 300 dpi if it is for print too.
