About this shipping box
Shoe boxes are long, narrow and shallow: the pair lies side by side, heel to toe. 330 × 190 × 120 mm covers most adult sizes; children's boxes run about 280 × 170 × 100.
Most are white board for a clean print, so this page opens on 1 mm white paperboard; switch to kraft for a natural look. The top is two flaps, printed separately, as on every slotted carton.
Proof the side panel first: on a shelf it is the side that shows.

Can I make a lid-and-base shoe box?
Not here: this is the one-piece slotted carton. A two-piece box is a different construction.
